Summary
About The Role
As a Graduate Strategy and Insight Researcher at LiveWest, you will play a crucial role in influencing thinking and decision-making across all levels of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide objective evidence through research, analysis, and project work to support the development and delivery of LiveWest's overall strategy and customer service improvement objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access, interpret, and analyse internal and external housing, health, employment, and demographic data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research projects, including survey design, data analysis, focus groups, and presentation of findings.
- Produce briefings and reports, presenting findings to colleagues, senior managers, and the executive team in concise and accessible formats.
- Explore creative ways of presenting information and data, including the use of data visualisation tools.
- Establish and maintain expertise in social research methods and identify emerging trends relevant to LiveWest.
- Maintain awareness of government and other consultations affecting LiveWest.
- Support the evidence and information needs of various strategic and service improvement projects across the organisation.
- Build working relationships with third-party researchers and other relevant service providers to ensure LiveWest is regarded as an active influencer in the sector.

This role is being offered on a full time, 1-year fixed term contract starting around mid-August 2025. Hybrid working is available for this role, working 1 - 2 days per week in the office, depending on business need and you can be based in either our Exeter or Weston-super-Mare office.
About The Candidate
To be selected for interview for the role of Graduate Strategy and Insight Researcher, you will need to demonstrate the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:
Essential:
- An undergraduate or Master's degree in a subject that includes social research methods and statistical analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of social research methods and experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make well-informed decisions.
- Creative thinking abilities to develop themes and linkages across business areas.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and knowledge of statistical/analytical software such as SPSS.
- Project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
- Good understanding of current UK social policy and the wider affordable housing sector.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
