About the Role:
TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with an outstanding secondary school in Gloucestershire that is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team in September. This full-time role involves teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will play a key role in delivering engaging, practical lessons that help students develop essential life skills, creativity, and a strong understanding of food, nutrition, and health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Food Technology lessons for KS3 and KS4


  • Inspire and engage students to develop practical skills and a love for the subject


  • Prepare students for practical assessments and GCSE exams


  • Maintain a safe, well-organised, and fully resourced teaching environment


  • Work collaboratively with the Technology department and wider school team


    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification


    • Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)


    • Be passionate about food education and inspiring young learners


    • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills


    • Be committed to supporting the school’s high standards and outstanding ethos
