The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance

Suitable candidates are sought for the above vacancy of Support for Learning Assistant to work in Glaitness Primary school. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues and parents.

We require candidates to have experience in working with young people and to be committed to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.

For appointment at grade D:

You should have a good general standard of education, including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy AND there is a requirement to achieve an SCQF level 5 qualification e.g. SVQ2, NC or PDA in a relevant subject area within 3 years of appointment.

For appointment at or progression to grade E:

You should have a good general standard education including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy and hold a SCQF level 5 qualification - e.g. SVQ2, NC or PDA in relevant subject area AND an SCQF level 5 qualification e.g. SVQ2, NC or PDA in a relevant subject area within 3 years of appointment.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
