Summary
A well-designed, brand-new nursery following the Froebel approach, located in a fantastic leafy area of Nunhead, is recruiting for an experienced Baby Room Leader.
Excellent Salary Package - £28k to £34k PA Based on experience and qualification
Location: Nunhead – SE15 (Southwark)
Hours - 45 hours/week over 5 days OR 36 Hours/ week – 4 days working
Shifts - Rotating shifts between 7.15am – 6.30pm
You must have strong knowledge of the EYFS, good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. The Baby Room Leader must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude towards working with children.
Your role as a Baby Room Leader includes-
• Lead the baby room team to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality care.
• Provide a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for babies to thrive.
• Meet individual care routines including feeding, changing, and sleep schedules.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support early development.
• Monitor and record each child’s progress in line with the EYFS framework.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents, providing daily updates and support.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies.
• Support, guide, and delegate tasks to team members, fostering a positive team environment.
Person Specification for the ideal Baby Room Leader
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education and a strong desire to make a difference!
• The ability to deliver high-quality practice.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
