Summary
Rotational Ward Clerk - DSEU
x 2 Band 2 positions - 16 Hours - Permanent - evenings and weekends & 12 Hours - Permanent - evenings and weekends, working 16:00 - 20:00 on a rota across 7 days.

We are looking for two highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our Rotational Ward Clerk Team based in our Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit. We are looking for individuals who like variety and are able to work flexibly, efficiently and independently to support a range of services.
Please note that these vacancies are for a 16 hour per week (4:00pm - 8:00pm) to include weekends and bank holidays post, and a 12 hour per week (4.00pm to 8.00pm) to include weekends and bank holidays. Flexibility will be required to cover annual leave and absence.
Both posts will be based in our Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit.
• Welcome and check in patients arriving for surgery.
• Ensure paperwork and identity checks are completed.
• Print or prepare admission forms, wristbands, and consent paperwork.
• Coordinate discharge documentation and transport bookings if needed.
• Update and maintain patient information on Trust systems
• Manage queries from staff and patients
• Answer telephone calls from relatives, transport team or other departments.
• Order supplies, chase missing patient notes, and maintain stock of forms.
• Direct visitors and couriers
