Are you an experienced and confident Child Protection Chair ready to lead critical safeguarding meetings and ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children? 3D Recruit is working in partnership with Lewisham Council to find a skilled Child Protection Chair who can deliver high-quality services and uphold statutory responsibilities in complex safeguarding cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Chair Child Protection Conferences and lead multi-agency meetings to ensure child safety and well-being.

Make informed, evidence-based decisions on child protection plans and monitor their implementation.

Ensure that all multi-agency processes are coordinated and that practice is compliant with statutory requirements.

Facilitate challenging and sensitive conversations with families and professionals, promoting transparency and partnership.

Undertake audits and contribute to service improvement plans.

Promote the use of Signs of Safety methodology in conference practice (highly desirable).

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration.

Extensive experience as a Child Protection Chair and a proven track record of chairing complex child protection conferences.

Strong working knowledge of child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.

Demonstrable experience in multi-agency coordination and decision-making in high-risk cases.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience using Signs of Safety is highly desirable.

Management-level experience within Children’s Services is preferred.
