Summary
Job Title: Sea Freight Coordinator
Salary: Up to £30,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Location: Office-Based - Broughton Astley, Leicester
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sea Freight Export & Cross Trade Coordinator to join their growing logistics team based in Broughton Astley, Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced freight professional to play a key role in coordinating sea freight exports and cross trade shipments from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle Sea Freight Export and Cross Trade bookings from start to finish
• Make bookings in line with customer requirements and quotations
• Submit customs declarations in compliance with HMRC requirements
• Process and manage shipment documentation and information
• Liaise effectively with customers and suppliers
• Track shipments and update stakeholders accordingly
• Ensure all tasks, milestones, and exceptions are recorded in CargoWise
• Complete ACRs and WIPs accurately and on time
• Perform general administrative duties as required
• Manage and resolve issues and complaints professionally and efficiently
Skills & Experience Required:
• Proven experience in sea freight export and cross trade coordination
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with CargoWise system is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards
