We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Setter/Operator for our client in Peterborough. A UK-based engineering company renowned for delivering complete custom engineering solutions. We design and manufacture everything from small fixtures to fully automated test and assembly systems, tailored to exact specifications.

With a fully equipped manufacturing department, they provide rapid subcontract precision machining and expert rubber mould tooling services - including design, prototyping, and repairs.

What's the job?

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and setup requirements.
Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and conformance to customer requirements.
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet production targets


Who can do this?

Experience with CNC Machines or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Solid problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to review and optimise machining processes for improved efficiency and productivity.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Education and Certification:
Vocational training or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
Time Served in a Manufacturing Environment
