Summary

This is a full-time, permanent role where you’ll work with students with complex and diverse needs, delivering individualised, engaging lessons that support both academic and personal growth. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive environment that values positive relationships, inclusive teaching, and a whole-child approach to education.
The school offers specialist resources, small class sizes, and a dedicated team of support staff. You’ll benefit from a salary on the MPS/UPS scale, plus an SEN allowance — acknowledging the skills and commitment required in this important role.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
Adapt curriculum content to meet a range of learning and communication needs
Foster a nurturing, respectful, and structured classroom environment
Monitor and assess pupil progress using appropriate SEND frameworks
Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and families to support holistic development
Promote inclusion and emotional wellbeing in every lesson
Contribute to a culture of safeguarding, high expectations, and mutual respect
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching students with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
Strong understanding of EHCPs, SEMH, Autism, and/or PMLD
Skilled in differentiation, sensory approaches, and behaviour strategies
Positive, empathetic, and solution-focused mindset
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing CPD
