Summary
To promote an environment for recovery, ongoing community-based care and assessment with the flexibility to develop the service provision as needs change. Clerk in new patients. On admission patients should be reviewed full medical history should be taken, the patient should be examined, full notes entered to SystmOne and medications prescribed. Review of ward patients including those identified by ward doctors. Ongoing assessment of patients with minor problems that are manageable in the community. The ward doctor will be responsible for making their own contemporaneous notes in SystmOne and written patient records. Ordering of investigations such as non-urgent bloods, x-rays, swabs, urine, and other specimen microscopy/culture samples. Undertake basic interventions including but not limited to, phlebotomy, insertion of cannulas, insertion of catheters.
