Summary

We have a vacancy for Waste and Recycling Supervisor to join us as part of our Waste and Recycling Team.

Based at the University’s Highfield Campus you will be responsible for day-to-day operational activities for the Waste and Recycling team. This includes guiding staff and coordinating daily activities for waste collections, external cleaning and other associated tasks. You will be working with the Waste and Environmental Services Manager to deliver a quality service to all buildings and building users across all our academic and residential campuses. The post is offered on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be highly motivated and have prior experience of supervising a team preferably in the waste management industry or a relevant role. You will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of Health and Safety best practises, being flexible in your approach, have prior experience working in a customer facing role and a strong people management skill. You will need some practical knowledge and experience in a relevant operational discipline, or a skill level equivalent to the achievement of GCSE (grades A*-C), Level 2 award, certificate, diploma, NVQ.
