Summary
Blue Recruitment Personnel is seeking an experienced AOG Export Agent to join our prestigious client, a leading logistics company based in the Heathrow area, specialising in time-critical aerospace and freight forwarding solutions.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated professional to handle Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and time-sensitive export shipments in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives under pressure and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in critical situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and time-sensitive export shipments from start to finish
Process air export documentation, including HAWBs, MAWBs and customs formalities
Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers and transport providers
Complete customs entries and export documentation in accordance with IATA regulations
Provide quotations and pre-alerts to customers
Manage post-flight procedures and security requirements
Handle urgent customer queries and maintain excellent customer relationships
Coordinate cross-trade movements and routing of shipments
Ensure compliance with all aviation security and customs regulations
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in AOG operations within a freight forwarding environment
Strong knowledge of air export procedures and IATA regulations
Experience with customs documentation and export licensing
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
Computer literate with experience in freight management systems (Boxtop/CargoWise preferred)
Valid UK driving license (due to location)
Security Cargo Operator certification (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Qualifications:
Import experience (training provided if needed)
Aerospace industry experience
Forklift license
Knowledge of e-Customs/CDS systems
Shift Pattern & Compensation:
Shift: 4 on 4 off rotation (12-hour shifts)
Hours: 19:00 - 07:00 (Night shift)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Additional Benefits:
23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
