Summary
Join our team as a highly organised and adaptable Operations and Workforce Development Manager supporting Local Authority Fostering South East (LAFSE) newly created fostering recruitment hub which is fully funded by the Department for Education for a further year.
This is a hybrid position mainly based at home with the expectation you would spend 2 to 5 days at our Time Square Bracknell offices per month as well as travelling around our 17 partner councils in the South East.
About you…
As an Operations and Workforce Development Manager you will oversee the effective functioning of the Local Authority Fostering South East (LAFSE) Recruitment Hub, ensuring alignment with regional strategies and fostering recruitment and retention objectives. With your extensive managerial experience, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations, overseeing workforce development initiatives and supporting the Regional Strategic Lead in achieving the hub’s goals. You will oversee the work of the Quality Assurance Manager and collaborate with key stakeholders such as the Workforce Development Team, Data Manager and Regional Marketing Manager.

Key responsibilities…
You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving continuous improvement and implementing effective workforce development strategies to enhance fostering recruitment across the region. Additionally, you will play a key leadership role in developing and delivering a regional workforce strategy, harmonising practice across local authorities and facilitating collaboration to improve fostering services and achieve consistency in service delivery.
