Summary
Night Care Assistant – Full Time
Location: Hawthorn Court, Swansea
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shifts: 3 x night shifts per week (19:30 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hawthorn Court is a 22-bed residential care home located in a peaceful area of Swansea. We provide dedicated care for older adults, including those living with dementia. Our home is known for its friendly, fast-paced environment and strong team culture. We pride ourselves on providing person-centred care in a safe, respectful, and supportive setting—day and night.

What You’ll Do
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care overnight
Assist with personal care, mobility, and bedtime routines
Offer reassurance and emotional support to residents throughout the night
Monitor residents' well-being and promptly report any concerns
Support light housekeeping to maintain a clean, peaceful environment
Work collaboratively with the night team to ensure smooth handovers
What We’re Looking For
Experience working in a busy care home is essential
Previous experience supporting residents with dementia
A calm, patient, and caring approach to care
Dependable, proactive, and a great team player
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Strong communication and time management skills
Job Details
Shifts: 19:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 per week (3 shifts on a rolling rota, including weekends)
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
