Summary
We are seeking compassionate, qualified and dedicated Children's Support Worker's to join our team( we do not offer sponsorship at present). This is a brand new Children's Residential Home in St. Georges, Telford which will support up to three children with EBD/LD. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance to children with emotional and behavioral difficulties, ensuring their well-being and supporting their daily activities. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duties
Provide one-on-one support to children, assisting them with daily tasks and activities.
Implement and monitor care plans tailored to the child's needs, ensuring that all requirements are met effectively.
Communicate regularly with children, their families and professionals to understand their needs and preferences.
Assist with childcare responsibilities, including supervision during playtime and educational activities.
Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during support sessions.
Collaborate with other professionals and team members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
Minimum Level 3 qualification
Minimum of two years previous experience working with children is required for this post
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and families.
Ability to follow care plans meticulously while adapting to the individual needs of each child.
A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between locations.
A willingness to complete mandatory training
A compassionate attitude towards supporting vulnerable individuals is crucial.
You may have to complete sleep in duties as part of your role.
