Team Leader Concierge
Waverley Court

Salary: £37,626 - £44,257
Hours : 36 per week

We have an exciting opportunity to join our High-Rise Management and Capital Investment Team, working to deliver a valued front-line service and support the delivery of our capital investment programme.

Are you an experienced Team Leader with a passion for excellent customer care and service delivery? We’re looking for a dedicated Team Leader to lead a team of concierge and estate officers in ensuring our high rise and estates are safe, secure, and well maintained.

You’ll have experience in housing, factoring or estate management, a strong understanding of health and safety and fire risk protocols, and proven leadership and organisational skills. You’ll be confident working in a customer-focused environment and capable of managing people and services across a wide area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations across high-rise blocks and the wider estate.

• Oversee service delivery, staffing, training, performance, and compliance with health and safety standards.

• Ensure high standards of customer service, security (including CCTV), cleaning, and maintenance.

• Manage concierge and stair-cleaning contracts, including performance monitoring and invoice approval.

• Liaise with internal teams and external services to ensure integrated housing and concierge support.

• Conduct inspections and risk assessments, particularly around fire safety in high-rise buildings.

• Respond to emergency situations and collaborate with emergency services and contractors.

• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to city-wide service delivery, development, and investment.

We're committed to creating a workplace culture where all our people feel valued, included and able to be their best at work, and we recognise the benefits that a diverse workforce with different values, beliefs, experience, and backgrounds brings to us as an organisation.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.

You can find out more on Our Behaviours web page Our Behaviours – The City of Edinburgh Council

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Happy to talk flexible working.
