Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within this newly formed central housing team responsible for Housing Strategy, Policy and Performance. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can help drive forward performance and continuous improvement across the housing service. Responsibility will include ensuring the service complies with the Scottish Housing Regulators regulatory framework including delivery of the Social Housing Charter outcomes. It also includes responsibility for the development and implementation of our Local Housing Strategy, including the review, monitoring and updating of key policies and procedures with a commitment to achieving best value and meeting wider cross service outcomes.
This opportunity has come at an exciting time with the Housing (Scotland) Bill moving through parliament as we enter the second year of implementing our Local Housing Strategy. It also comes at a time when we are reviewing our rent structure and implementing a new Housing Management System. This role will be expected to lead a team to drive and deliver some ambitious goals as well as monitor, review and recommend areas for improved performance and ensure we are reporting to the housing regulator.

Job Details
To ensure the co-ordinated management and delivery of the Local Housing Strategy, Housing Policy and Performance, Private Sector delivery and Service Development.
To lead and manage the Housings Strategy, Policy and Service Development Team in accordance with current legislation, best practice and best value.
To lead and manage a positive service delivery in accordance with key corporate objectives relating to the Council’s Corporate Plan.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent and/or substantial level of relevant knowledge/ training/experience.
Membership of relevant professional body.
Continuing Professional Development evidence.
