Summary
We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support specific pupils and small groups with learning needs as well as providing teaching cover for Teachers' PPA.Your duties would include supporting teachers with the care, education and assessment of the children in their classes. In particular, you will provide support in the following areas:
Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupilsPromote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusionGive support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievementProvide teaching cover for Teachers’ PPA (Planning, preparation and assessment time) and absences as required.Working term time only, this is an exciting opportunity to apply your existing skills and develop new ones in a dynamic environment in which we all work towards the same goal – providing the very best for the children in our care. Whilst we are seeking candidates with some experience of working with young children in an educational setting, training will be provided for the right candidate. Experience in Little Wandle Phonics is preferable but not essential - training provided.Hours of Work:, Mondays to Fridays, term time only 8.30-3.15 pm. 31.25 hours per week (full time), Term time plus 3 INSET days.
