Are you a skilled electrical technician with a multiskilled background looking to work in a dynamic environment? EQUANS is seeking a Shift Technician (Electrical, Multiskilled) to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of Mechanical and Electrical systems at our prestigious Canary Wharf site.

Work with a team committed to safety, sustainability, and exceptional service delivery.

What You'll Do:
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building management systems (BMS) in compliance with current legislation and contract SLAs.

  • Complete scheduled PPM and reactive repairs efficiently to meet service level agreements.

  • Lead daily team meetings to ensure smooth task coordination and timely completion of works.

  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and manage Permits to Work.

  • Maintain accurate logbooks and records using CAFM systems (Planon experience desirable).

  • Provide technical support and quotations for chargeable works.

  • Safely work with equipment such as chillers, pumps, sprinklers, emergency lighting, fire and life safety systems, water treatment plants, and more.

  • Demonstrate flexibility, working collaboratively beyond your core skills to deliver outstanding customer service.

  • Overtime work will be required occasionally to cover holidays and sickness.

What You Bring:
  • Qualified time-served electrical tradesman with C&G BS 7671 or equivalent certification.

  • HVAP qualification essential; mechanical qualifications and confined space certification are desirable.

  • Experience with LTHW/CHWS/BCWS mechanical systems and knowledge of L8 ACOP.

  • IPAF certification (3a & 3b) preferred.

  • Sound knowledge of Permit to Work systems and issuing PTWs.

  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar health and safety qualification.

  • Proficient IT skills and familiarity with CAFM systems (Planon is a plus).

  • Strong team player with the ability to perform well under pressure.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive, confident, and reliable with a strong safety mindset.
