Summary
As part of your role, you will be expected to carry out all aspects of personal care, administering of medication and will be committed to ensuring good strong relationships and outstanding outcomes for our children in this challenging and rewarding role. Our short breaks service aims to ensure that its most vulnerable children's needs are met and that their life chances are maximised to enable them to achieve their full potential. The Council has a strong residential/short breaks service and Pinewood are rated outstanding by Ofsted.
Due to the growth of the home, we are looking to recruit a number of short break carers for a range of contracts, ranging from 18 – 30 hours per week. Due to the nature of the home, there will be a need for the successful candidates to work a variety of shifts including, daytime, evening, weekend and overnights.
You should have relevant experience of working with children. A QCF Level 3 or equivalent in residential childcare would be desirable but not essential, however you would be expected to work towards gaining this qualification. You will be part of a team that is committed to inspiring and motivating people in this type of setting to ensure exceptional care for children.
Our Children and Families work in a trauma informed way using our innovative multi-agency partnership model ‘Our Way of Working’.
