A Vacancy at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Department for enthusiastic team members for BANK Facilities Management Assistant (FMA) Domestic cleaner.
The post is suited to a motivated and experienced Domestic services worker to work in various sites in the Merseyside area – Ranging across all of Liverpool and including Southport. This will be covering varied departments of the trust such as: Secure units, Walk in Centres, Health Centres, Admin Buildings, Mental health units, etc.
The successful candidate will provide a cleaning service around this Division ensuring National cleaning standards, PLACE requirements and CQC standards are met

The provision of a high quality professional centred service ensuring all policies and procedures and standards are adhered to.
• To work to a high standard to meet national standards
• Work as part of a team or as an individual working flexible hours to deliver cleaning cover throughout the year.
• Work to an agreed cleaning schedule and complete relevant documentation.
• Responsible for ensuring all cleaning equipment and cleaning agents are available.

Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
1. To work as members of a team, carrying out facilities tasks as allocated and prioritised.
Facilities tasks may include all or a combination of the following:
• Cleaning of clinical/ward areas, inclusive of toilets.
• Waste disposal.
• Linen transportation.
• Basic food preparation.
• Fridge and food temperature monitoring.
• Till operation.
• Collating service user menu orders.
• Filling vending machines.
2. To assist colleagues and their line manager, carry out the tasks assigned to the team or individual and to support the minimisation of overtime and sickness costs to the Trust and also minimise the waste of resources, through operating the required reporting, management or information systems.
3. To undertake all mandatory training as required by Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and ensure that all required training is kept up to date.
4. To take part in performance management and Personal Achievement and Contribution Evaluations (PACE).
5. To comply with all relevant policies and procedures (including, but not limited to, health & safety, security, manual handling and food safety). As work may be carried out in a wide variety of locations, adherence to site-specific security procedures is of paramount importance.
6. To take responsibility for the completion of all duties in a safe and efficient manner, and to maintain regular contact with their line manager.
7. To stand in for other FMA’s as required.
8. To liaise with all relevant parties in a friendly and helpful way as is required to ensure the achievement of all duties and responsibilities
