The Role
This is a consultancy-based position, requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2 - 3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).
They are currently seeking several Layout Engineers Consultants - Nuclear to join an expanding UK team and support their client on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear projects.
The Layout Team plays a critical role in supporting the construction of the four EPR units by delivering engineering support related to plant design.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Assessing if the site request has Layout impact.
- Assessing requests coming from site that may impact Layout.
- Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified.
- Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site.
- Anticipating and raising alerts on open technical points.
- Collecting and organising the lessons learnt.
- Participating to Team meetings, sharing technical topics.
- Manage and monitor any modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors and the client.
About You
Our client is after someone who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit. Here's what they would love to see:
- Holds a degree and has hands-on experience in a nuclear engineering environment.
- Background in EPR or other nuclear-related projects.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, particularly Navisworks and AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of PDMS or E3D, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of general layout and installation guidelines.
- Familiarity with the overall operation of nuclear power plants and key safety considerations, including nuclear safety, flood risks, fire hazards, radiological protection, and high-energy line failures.
- Experienced in Pant Layout Engineering.
- Knowledgeable about the UK design framework and regulatory requirements.
