Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading Housing Company in the East London area who are looking for a brand new Surveyor to join their team covering Disrepair projects.
They are looking for an experienced Surveyor who has previous experience working on Social Housing legal disrepair.
Duties:
- Conduct detailed property inspections and prepare comprehensive disrepair reports in line with legal requirements.
- Liaise with legal teams, local authorities, and residents in relation to disrepair claims.
- Specify remedial works, instruct contractors, and manage follow-up inspections.
- Provide expert technical advice and act as a key point of contact for disrepair matters.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory obligations.
- Monitor case progress and maintain accurate records for audit and legal purposes.
Requirements:
- MCIoB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building) qualified - essential.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar disrepair or surveying role within social housing.
- Strong understanding of the Landlord & Tenant Act and disrepair legislation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
