Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a care home facility. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the care staff, ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to our residents.
Duties:
- Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Assist with meal preparation as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care activities
- Utilize IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Drive resident outings or appointments as required
Experience:
- Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of care home regulations and best practices
- Proficient in using IT systems for record keeping purposes
