Please see attached Job Description for full details The Chief Sleep & Respiratory Physiologist will: Continue to develop advanced knowledge and skills within specialist sphere of practice. Contribute to the facilitation of the planning, delivery and evaluation of care pathways for a designated group of patients. Support the development of clinical practice within the specialist field through the use of evidence-based practice and in line with agreed national standards and contribute to the body of knowledge. Work as an autonomous practitioner and team leader within their sphere of practice. Continuously improve clinical standards in line with clinical governance framework. Lead the nurse led sleep service in the absence of the clinical lead. Manage own caseload of complex sleep / respiratory patients Develop the sleep-related breathing disorder service. Analyse and advise on sleep related breathing disorder diagnostic tests. Offer clinical support to other members of the teams. Triage referral and offer advice and guidance. Involvement in HR and budget management of the service. Offer lifestyle support for patients. Participate in audit and research projects. Involvement in the education of other health care professionals Supervision and implementation of the CPAP group initiation service.
