Sport Aberdeen is excited to offer a new opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a PE Assistant. This is a dynamic role based primarily within a secondary school with key responsibilities in;-
• Lifeguarding Duties in School:
Provide professional lifeguard cover during swimming lessons as part of the school's PE curriculum, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils and staff in the pool environment.
• PE Class Support:
Assist PE staff with the delivery of physical education classes, supporting lesson set-up, supervision, and pupil engagement across a range of activities.
• Community Lifeguarding:
Work designated hours (anticipated one day per week) at a Sport Aberdeen swimming pool, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
This term-time only position is ideal for someone passionate about physical activity, supporting young people and water safety. This role could be perfect for those seeking a work-life balance aligned with school holidays, or those looking to gain experience working in a school and/or PE Department.
A NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) is a requirement of this role, however Sport Aberdeen will provide training for any successful candidate to achieve this qualification on starting this role.
