Summary
On a day-to-day basis the Storekeeper will work in a busy environment, acting as an interface between the team and an large customer base over multiple sites and external agencies.
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to
Management of the materiel account and integrity of physical stock and storage regulations, conducting quality assurance activities where required.
Issue, receipt and control of all V&A photographic and video equipment and consumables to the DSOP staff and trainees; ensuring the equipment is issued and returned in a serviceable state.
Management of spare parts and components stock for various technical equipment, including paperwork, handling, quality and batch control, storage, issue, and receipt.
Conduct stocktaking and disposal of technical stock and non-movement items.
The raising and progression of demands through the Service stores systems.
Liaise with inventory holders and nominated suppliers for transactions.
Management of transportation documentation and reports, packaging requirements and raising discrepancy reports and claims against carriers (where required).
Unloading and unpacking of equipment received from external sources.
Operate material handling equipment where required.
