Summary
Perform routine nurse duties including wound care, immunisations, cervical screening, and suture removal. Undertake health screening and NHS Health Checks in accordance with current guidelines. Provide travel health advice and administer vaccinations in line with current travel protocols. Assist with family planning, contraception advice, and sexual health services. Provide care and support to patients with complex needs, including the frail elderly and those with multiple co-morbidities. Take samples, such as swabs and bloods Administer medications and injections under patient-specific or patient group directions (PSDs/PGDs). Educate and advise patients on healthy lifestyles, diet, smoking cessation, and exercise. Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and professional standards. Ensure stock control and maintenance of medical supplies and clinical equipment. Comply with infection prevention and control procedures and uphold clinical safety protocols. Supervise and support student nurse Must maintain own learning and training- All relevant training such as immunisations or cervical cytology, must be up to date.
