The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a teaching focused lecturer in Psychology on a full-time, fixed-term contract until 31st of August 2026.
The Opportunity
The University of Edinburgh Psychology Department seeks to appoint a teaching focused lecturer in Psychology, with the particular reference to supporting the teaching of Differential Psychology (such as personality and/or intelligence). The role holder will contribute to and manage the delivery and organisation of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Psychology.
Your skills and attributes for success
Experience of original research and teaching in a relevant area of Psychology, supported by a relevant qualification (normally a PhD or equivalent; pending assumed complete maybe consider at time of application).
Evidence of experience in teaching, indicative of commitment to and potential for excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Engagement with the process of course/curriculum design and development.
Evidence of investigative research and publication activities, appropriate to career stage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
