Summary
Loughborough College’s Elite Sport department is a highly successful department with over 2,000 learners.
The department offers a wide range of provision up to L4 qualifications, working nationally with a broad range of funded programmes that includes study programmes, apprenticeships, international, adult programmes and the Diploma in Sporting Excellence.
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to teach and support elite sport learners. This will include developing both the curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment strategies that support learners progressing through sport talent pathways.
The successful candidate will deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed, both through face to face and online delivery. Learner progress will be monitored to ensure target grades are met and all learners achieve to the best of their ability.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and teaching qualification, and you must have extensive teaching and vocational experience in further education. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience of elite sport and working in high performance environments.
As part of this role, there will be a requirement to work both at Loughborough College and other offsite locations. Due to this, the successful candidate would have a full, valid drivers licence and the ability to travel to offsite locations for work.
You will possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively with a range of partners. You will possess excellent planning and administration skills and be able to work to deadlines.
