Summary
About you:

Strong and effective communication and negotiations skills are key to this role as well as a pragmatic solution focused approach.
The ideal candidate should be well organised and flexible, working on your own initiative and managing your own workload, able to manage changing priorities and resilient to the pressures of a busy and varied caseload; they will be a productive team member with a can-do attitude suitable for managing a diverse property portfolio. The candidate should be proactive and be able to spot and develop opportunities to maximise asset value.
You will have an RICS accredited degree with member level status of the RICS.
About the role:
The role covers all aspects of Estate Management, including lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings, re-gears, valuations, acquisitions and disposals as well as general estate management, debt management and repairs, across a wide range of property types including commercial, operational and community assets. Candidates will be expected to liaise closely with other services to help them deliver their objectives through property solutions, as well as external stakeholders, community organisations and tenants.
About the team:
The Council has an extensive and diverse property portfolio which includes retail, light industrial, offices, leisure and community premises, arts venues, and a shopping centre located across the City. Our portfolio generates significant income which needs to be proactively managed to enable rental and capital growth. The Estates team is a small but busy commercially focussed unit working across this portfolio providing estate management, valuation and property advice.
