Summary

The Victim Transformation Programme (VTP) is a priority piece of work in the Crown Prosecution Service, with a key focus of improving the experience of victims through the Criminal Justice System. This role will support the work of the Victim Transformation Programme by delivering the universal and/or enhanced service to victims of crime.

You will also be responsible for helping victims of crime to understand the role of the CPS and the wider criminal justice system, including the legal procedures and their rights within the system.

Your roles and responsibilities:

You have effective verbal and written communications.
You answer telephone enquiries.
You draft letters to victims.
You make appropriate arrangements for meetings between victims and the CPS where appropriate.
You manage sensitive and challenging conversations, with CPS colleagues external stakeholders and with victims.
You engage and communicate with key Criminal Justice Partners, including Witness Care Units.
You signpost victims to the appropriate contact point
