Summary
The opportunity We are seeking an exceptional candidate to deliver high-quality reporting, forecasting and analysis for NHS Resolutions indemnity schemes. Ideally you will possess strong finance and commercial experience. NHS Resolution provides indemnity arrangements for NHS secondary and general practice provision, several arms-length bodies, and a number of independent sector providers of health care. The eleven schemes, governed by Regulations, provide indemnity cover for both clinical and non-clinical negligence. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial planning and analysis to support reserving for NHS Resolutions indemnity schemes. You will also support the development and implementation of financial policies and processes to ensure effective financial management and governance. What youll be doing: Managing the valuation of the indemnity scheme provisions, which are unique and central to NHS Resolution. This includes handling, modelling, and analysing complex data sets, working with actuarial advisers (including Government Actuarys Department - GAD) and other experts, and reporting the best estimate of the scheme liabilities. Managing and coordinating month end and year end activities and supporting projects Developing forecasts, full year outturns, and carrying out ad hoc analysis to understand variances, trends, and risks, and to support decision making Supporting production of NHS Resolutions Annual Report and Accounts (ARA) and the external audit Supporting reserving cycle activities and ownership of actions from formal working groups What youll bring: Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) accountant with proven finance experience. Excellent planning and organisational skills and be used to delivering both accurately and to timelines, in a complex and fast paced environment. Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and an ability to manage and analyse large and complex data sets.
