Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality and Regulation team, which sits under the directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration (SPSA). The team is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University and manages the institution's core quality assurance and enhancement processes and activities.

The Quality and Regulation Coordinator supports all areas of the team's work by providing highly effective and accurate administrative services for the Quality Managers as directed by the Quality and Regulation Manager and Head of Quality. This varied role requires the post holder to support all areas of operation including administrative support for course development and approval, academic regulation guidance, and the effective operation of the University's student procedures (including the Student Complaints Procedure, the Fitness to Study procedure, the Student Disciplinary Procedure, the Suitability for Practice Procedure and the Anti-Harassment & Anti-Bullying Policy Procedure). For each of these areas the post holder will be expected to provide high quality and effective administrative services to facilitate relevant events, training activities, committees and working groups, including acting as Secretary and/or Officer as appropriate.

The role plays a key part in quality assurance and standards and, as such, key amongst the attributes are: being a creative and confident thinker; personal dynamism and innovative approach; and ability to adopt a flexible and positive approach. They will be able to plan and organise their own work, use initiative, contribute ideas for process improvement, and demonstrate a flexible approach ensuring effective service delivery outcomes. They will have experience of minute taking and report writing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience of working in Higher Education administration is helpful but not essential.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
