Summary
Personal care assistant required for young female
Our client is looking for a personal assistant for their daughter, who has autism, ADHD and Tourette Syndrome. She will require support accessing the community.
Our client’s daughter is a strong minded and engaging character, with a great sense of humour. She likes going on walks, for self-regulation as well as enjoyment, and is open to being introduced to new hobbies and interests. She also enjoys car journeys and overseeing the music during the journey, as she has a very eclectic taste.
The successful candidate should be upbeat, confident, playful, creative and a clear communicator. Our client’s daughter can exhibit challenging behaviour and needs support upholding social expectations and boundaries in the community, so it is important for the successful candidate to remain assertive and responsible. The successful candidate should also be resilient as the symptoms of Tourette Syndrome mean our client’s daughter may express explicit language.
The role is 3 hours per week, paid at £12.21ph. The role is based in Scunthorpe.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
If you would like to apply please email a copy of your CV to gboardman@hull-cvs.co.uk
