Summary

HTA Design LLP is an award winning multi-disciplinary design partnership of specialist teams working collaboratively in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Communications, Sustainability, and Planning.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Assistant to support our small but busy finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising client invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with credit control functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, a keen eye for accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


To be considered for the role the successful candidate will have:

- At least 1 years’ experience in an accounts receivable, finance, or similar role, preferably obtained within the architectural design, engineering or the built environment industries.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related business field and/or Professional (AAT, CIMA or ACCA) Level 3 qualification or working towards a professional qualification.
- Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment.
- Good understanding of fundamental financial principles such as debits/credits, financial statements, and accounting cycles.
- Good knowledge of basic bookkeeping and transactional processes.
- Good knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR) and the effective management of confidential information.
- Strong organisational skills - demonstrates ability to manage time and meet deadlines effectively.
- Pays attention to detail, producing accurate work and delivers to a high standard, using own initiative and taking responsibility for own actions and outcomes.
- Works well in a team, contributing effectively to shared goals.
- Strong communicator within team and keeps others informed.
- Able to compose standard finance/accounts related letters and documents using various templates and from scratch.
- Able to take and transcribe effective and accurate meeting notes/minutes as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage200, SAP, or similar).
