Summary

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist SEN Outreach Tutor to deliver personalised, 1:1 education to young people who are currently out of school. This role is ideal for a skilled educator with a background in working with students with special educational needs (SEN), including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and other complex learning profiles.

Using a trauma-informed and flexible approach, the Outreach Tutor will plan and deliver bespoke, engaging lessons designed to re-engage pupils, boost confidence, and support academic and emotional development. As many of the learners will have been out of formal education for extended periods, the successful tutor will need to demonstrate resilience, empathy, and creativity.

A Team Teach qualification is highly desirable, as it supports the use of positive behaviour management strategies in line with best safeguarding practices.

Prospero Teaching provides close support and supervision to ensure quality and progression, and to help tutors feel connected, confident, and professionally supported.
