Summary
Project Engineer Mechanical Electrical Process
Our client is an established Scottish company who specialised in water solutions, from Filtration to Process equipment and Water Treatment Plants. They are now looking to develop their existing business interests within the Scotland and the UK by recruiting a professional Project Engineer. Taking control from cradle to grave projects within Scotland and UK. The role is M&E related and requires applicants to manage the processes with the customers, the design team and installation teams, managing time, labour, cost and providing handover to customers within defined times scales and financial constraints. Quality of service and work done by labour teams, managing the customer’s expectations and managing 3-4 projects at a time. The role will be based out of Glasgow but with occasional visits with customers throughout the UK.
The Role
The role will be heavily involved in the design and project management of the installation of filtration water treatment plants, complete wet leisure facilities (pools, spas and wave machines) and the associated M&E facilities to provide such product. This could be in the form of thermal cabins to water features right across the board to industrial water treatment process. As Project Engineer you will be the first point of contact with customers, you will liaise with client representatives to agree design and confirm the programme. Engineering knowledge specifically within the M&E sector will give you the ability to supervise the AutoCAD and 3D drawings, applicants may well be able to produce AutoCAD drawings themselves, but you will have a full design team support which will be used in the preparation of technical specifications. Once the program has been agreed the Project Engineer will be involved in procurement of materials, management of on-site installation and commissioning labour to fulfil the project and hand-over on time and within budget.
The Person
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong Project Engineering track record within the M&E, process industry, water, water treatment or Facilities sectors. Ideally with a background within Mechanical, Electrical, M&E or Process Engineering supplying project on time and in budget. This role will allow the applicant to take ownership of the project, from client liaison, to design and modification, to the installation and handover of the project. Applicants therefore must be reliable, self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised
You will receive a £40-45K basic salary plus Car Allowance + package.
