Key Responsibilities:
Operate HGV Class 1 curtain sider vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
Deliver with precision: Transport palletised goods to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Stay roadworthy: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle is in top condition.
Secure the load: Properly secure loads to prevent damage during transit.
Keep records: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively: Keep dispatchers and customers updated on delivery status.
Stay safe: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Minimise manual handling: Use appropriate equipment and techniques to handle goods with minimal manual effort.
To be considered for this role you will require the following:
• Minimum 1 years HGV experience (Required)
• Timber Experience (Preferred)
• Previous Ratchet and Strapping experience (Preferred)
• Valid LGV/HGV Class 1 C+E License
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 9 penalty points.
Long term ongoing role
Monday to Friday
Averaging 0700 start
10 hour shifts
50 Hours a week
Breaks deducted.
£15 p/h Basic
£18.15 p/h Via umbrella
Overtime paid at time and a half
