Summary

About the Role:

As a transit driver, you'll be a crucial link in our operations, ensuring materials and sometimes personnel are moved efficiently between various new build housing developments. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safe and timely transportation of materials, tools, and occasionally small plant machinery between sites.
  • Adhering to all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading materials when required.
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks to ensure the transit van is in optimal working condition.
  • Maintaining clear communication with site managers and coordinators.
  • Representing the company professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a transit driver, ideally within a construction or similar multi-site environment.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • A valid CSCS card is essential for this role, as you'll be working on active construction sites.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Hull area and surrounding routes.
  • A strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
  • Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to handle moderate physical demands (e.g., helping with loading/unloading).
