Summary


The Calderdale Bladder & Bowel Service within CHFT includes the provision of complex bladder and bowel care.

The service sees children and adults across Calderdale community. The team provide evidence-based triage, diagnosis, treatment and review of patients with complex continence needs.

The clinical team works as part of a wider MDT. The team provide support and advice to the wider public on continence dysfunction. Care is delivered in a wide variety of health and educational settings

This vacancy is to work as a specialist healthcare assistant within the integrated Bladder & Bowel Service, to perform specialist clinical assessments and develop management care plans for complex bladder & bowel conditions within a community setting.

• The post holder will work autonomously within the team and work with a designated caseload of individuals.
• The postholder will be responsible for the assessment, management , implementation and evaluation of evidence based programmes of care within the community environment.

• The post holder will be involved in teaching carers and families how to manage any treatment, management or incontinence containment programmes.
• Demonstrates a detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of bladder and bowel conditions.
• Participate in education programmes to other healthcare professionals and carers.
