Summary
Working in the Brighouse / Huddersfield areas
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking person to join our counter sales team in a fast paced and busy trade counter role, Must have relevant experience in a similar role
This is a key role within the business and will be engaging in all aspects from the sales functions, and counter sales being able to take sales calls and undertake quotations and advise customers on the application and safe use of tools and fixings. Managing a small team of two other sales people and will have responsibility to maintain the shop in a clean and tidy manner and fully stocked,
As a part of the sales team, you will be responsible for various duties including stock management , counter sales , answering the telephone and dealing with tradesmen and the public on the counter advising the customer on the correct tool for their job, The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude and some Engineering knowledge would be an advantage,
Duties:
- Serving customers
- Managing the sales counter staff
- answering telephone calls
- advising customers on safe and correct use on a range of tools
- keeping the shop and counter tidy
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts
- customer quotations
- stock replenishment in the shop
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills required:
- Must have relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience operating and use of power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and Engineering knowledge would be an advantage
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Strong diligence and accuracy in inventory management
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment
- dependable and punctual
- fully computer literate , as we have a fully computerised booking in / out system
- fit and active as heavy lifting is involved
