Summary
Note, this is a working foreman position, not a site manager position.
O'Briens Construction Ltd are a fast growing, local, family run construction company and we are seeking a dedicated Working Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations at job sites, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. The Working Foreman will supervise a team of workers, manage resources, and maintain a safe working environment.
Duties:
- Supervise and lead a team of workers on-site
- Manage resources effectively to meet project deadlines
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with project managers to plan and execute tasks
- Provide site inductions to team members as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards
Experience:
- Proven experience in supervising construction or maintenance projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively
Skills:
- Supervising: Demonstrated ability to oversee and direct a team of workers effectively.
- Manage: Proficiency in managing resources, schedules, and tasks to achieve project goals.
