Summary

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council are recruiting for a new apprentice position to help support us with our work in the public protection area.

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to undertake a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship whilst earning a salary both for study and office work, joining our busy and friendly Public Protection Team.

Specifically, your role will assist us in the administrative areas of processing and issuing of a variety of licences such as alcohol, entertainment, taxi and animal. You will also have the chance to become involved in work within the environmental health and community safety teams. In addition to the licensing responsibilities, this work will include support around noise nuisance, food hygiene inspections, pollution control, housing conditions and antisocial behaviour.

You will be continuously supported throughout your apprenticeship, working alongside dedicated colleagues who will provide valuable experience in a collaborative office environment. The role will be based at The Town Hall in Epsom, KT18 with the taught academic element delivered online and a dedicated tutor assigned at the start of the programme who will stay with you throughout. In the interests of supporting candidates in this process, you are requested to have a viable plan to attend the office daily which avoids an excessive or unsustainable commute.
