About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Applications Analyst to lead the lifecycle management of one or more key digital services. You'll combine technical expertise with operational awareness to deliver secure, scalable, and user-driven application platforms.
You’ll act as a subject matter expert, responsible for configuration, integration, support, and continuous enhancement of assigned systems. You’ll also shape roadmaps, support agile delivery, and mentor team members.
This role balances ownership of live services with collaborative change activity across project, product, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the design, delivery, improvement, and retirement of assigned services
Translate business needs into technical enhancements and service designs
Support and configure low-code/no-code platforms (e.g. Power Platform)
Contribute to agile cycles including backlog grooming and sprint planning
Analyse service data to drive improvements and meet SLAs
Lead integration with platforms like Dynamics 365, Moodle, Jira, and SharePoint
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and user support
Engage suppliers and partners to ensure service reliability
Document processes, configurations, and compliance requirements
Mentor analysts and support team development
Represent the Applications team in service reviews and governance forums
Current Focus Areas
We’re particularly interested in strengthening capabilities in:
Student systems and CRM platforms (e.g. Dynamics 365)
Workflow automation and data analytics (Power Automate, Power BI)
ITSM platforms (e.g. Jira Service Management)
Learning technologies (Moodle and related tools)
You don’t need to cover every area; we value specialists with a learning mindset and collaborative approach.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience managing enterprise applications in a live service environment
Technical knowledge in API integration, SQL, REST, and data workflows
Strong communication skills, with an ability to explain solutions clearly
Confidence working across agile and operational teams
A user-first approach grounded in data and continuous improvement
Familiarity with IT service and project delivery frameworks (e.g. ITIL, Agile)
Why Join Us?
Own and shape services that matter to students and staff
Be part of a values-led, mission-driven university community
Join a team that values accountability, autonomy, and collaboration
Gain exposure to a broad portfolio of digital tools and platforms
Enjoy flexible working and a supportive, inclusive culture
