Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervising Social Worker (Kinship G8) to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will oversee the support and coordination of services for children in kinship care arrangements, ensuring their safety, well-being, and stability. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring social work staff, providing professional development opportunities while fostering best practices in the field. You will work collaboratively with families, other agencies, and community partners to develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting relatives caring for children, empowering them through resources and assistance that enhance their ability to provide stable homes. Additionally, your role will involve monitoring the progress of cases, conducting assessments, and engaging in proactive outreach with families to promote positive outcomes. Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of social workers working with kinship families.
Conduct assessments and develop tailored service plans for children in kinship care.
Foster collaborative relationships with families, community resources, and other agencies.
Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff members.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of each case to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss case updates and share best practices.
Advocate for kinship families and represent their needs within the organization and community.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work; Master’s degree preferred.
Current social work license in the relevant state or region.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in child welfare or related field.
Strong understanding of kinship care policies and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Hours Per Week: 22.20
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £28.00
