Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: London SE9
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 29-year-old male living in the SE9 area of London who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support with all aspects of daily living including personal care, domestic support, and social support for hours per week.
Main duties:
Social duties:
keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
attend medical appointments if required.
do hobbies such as swimming, cooking, Archery, board games, computer games.
Personal care: support with bathing/showering, Continence care, shaving, teeth cleaning, dressing, administering medication.
Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Non-Smoker required. Must like cats.
Hours of work: 20 hours per week – Times to be discussed at interview stage.
Rate of pay: £14.95 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
driving licence – Client has an Automatic Mobility car
appropriate car insurance
previous care & support experience
able to swim
likes cats
Non-smoker
confidentiality
good at building relationships
Preferred:
computer literate
good communicator
a good listener
ability to support people with complex care & support needs
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
