As a key member of the Programme Management Office (PMO) you will primarily support the Vehicle Storage and Support Programme (and may provide support to DEO as required), a Cat A £250M+ programme that is delivering modern, sustainable and effective storage and maintenance solutions for the Defence operational land vehicle and equipment fleets held at graduated readiness in two tranches. The programme is being delivered for the Army by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) which manages infrastructure for the Ministry of Defence.

The role is varied and wide-ranging and would suit an aspiring project delivery professional with strong attention to detail to work in a PMO Programme controls function, providing the support required from the Programme Director and PMO Lead to drive forward delivery of the programme. This role covers responsibilities across the P3M spectrum but with a focus on governance arrangements and benefits management. The role would offer an opportunity to engage widely across the business at various levels, briefing senior leaders as required. The role offers good scope for development in this area, with opportunities to undertake professional training in line with Directorate objectives as well as develop wider Project Delivery skills as part of a PMO.

As a key delivery resource within the PMO the post holder will be expected to provide advice and guidance across a range of areas including:

Change Process Governance Lead (Change Integration Working Group [CIWG]) Governance Lead for all Change Cycle activities, including Co-ordinating the programme change control change process
Governance Support (Programme Board). Support the PMO lead for the termly Programme Board: Scheduling and diary management, Artefact and slide review and preparation (Benefits and Dependencies), maintain the ROD's
Artefact Management - management of programme related artefacts, ensuring content remains relevant and documents updated in a timely manner
Lead:
Benefits Coordination - Coordinate the delivery of the Benefits Management Strategy Tacker, record and lead benefits measurement. Lead on Grade 6 and 1* reviews
Dependencies - Own and coordinate dependencies management including updating Project Online(POL), analysis and dashboard production to support senior meetings and satisfy audit requirements. Lead monthly reviews and link to the Risk, Issue, Opportunities (RIO) cycle
Information Management - Lead for programme information management, specifically SharePoint and POL
Scheduling
Support:
Risk Assumptions, Issues, Opportunities (RAIDO) Coordination - Support RAIDO activities and governance within the programme
Learning from Experience (LFE) Management - Capturing and disseminating programme and project LFE
Stakeholder Engagement & Comms and Secretariat/Parliamentary - Coordinate as necessary alongside the directorate lead
Reporting Support - Support line management in all reporting activities
Assurance Review Coordination - Support line management in the coordination of all independent review activity
Approvals artefact coordination - Support the Programme Director and Requirements Manager for the presentation and accessibility of Lines of Evidence required for outline business case/ full business case/ review note
Supporting ad-hoc PMO tasks as required
