Summary

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Paediatric Health Care Assistant within the Bournemouth area who can support a young male service user. Our service user has Autism, Galactosyl Transference deficiency, Ehlers danlos syndrome, Scoliosis and other complex health needs, challenging behaviour. Our Paediatric Healthcare Assistant role will consist of taking part in complex night and day time routines, to ensure the service users' safety at all times.

In addition to having the willingness to take on this responsibility and providing quality care, our Paediatric Health Care Assistant would require to have a UK driving licence and willing to travel in between the Service User's parent's address' which would be located in Bournemouth and Blandford Forum.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who is committed long term as training could take up to 6 months before the person is confident in doing this task alone.
  • Someone who is able to focus on the task at hand and remain detached from their feeling and emotions.
  • We are looking to recruit a small team of carers on 2 week rolling rota covering Monday to Sunday, Days and Nights (depending on availability).You must be able to work alternate weekends.

Theory and Practical training will be provided free of charge to ensure you have the correct skills and knowledge to support this service user's needs. This is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and progress in your health and social care career. Practical clinical training will be delivered by one of our nurses so you can learn first-hand from their expertise.

What are your duties as a Healthcare Assistant in this package?

  • Support in Moving and Handling & Personal Care
  • Support and maintain all clinical needs.
  • Training Carers.
  • To be respectful and maintain professional boundaries
  • Someone who will go above and beyond for the Service User and staff involved in the package .

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months professional care experience
  • The right to work in the UK and have the correct documentation for this
  • A full enhanced DBS
  • An up-to-date CV with full working history
