  • WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity

We're experts in statistics, modelling and home insurance risk - helping LBG control exposure to claims risk from floods, fire, theft and more! Do you want to be one of our team?

In Risk Pricing we apply an excellent understanding of general insurance pricing techniques to the management of underwriting risk, with responsibility for setting the risk price (expected claims cost) for use in commercial and pricing decisions.

You'll carry out statistical insurance analysis of general insurance products and produce management information and supporting analysis relating to product performance, portfolio mix, regularly or ad-hoc, for use by LBG GI Senior Management.

We offer actuarial study support and the opportunity to work across both risk and customer pricing as part of this role.

What you'll need

  • Exceptional numerical skills

And any experience of these would be really useful

  • A desire to learn and develop towards an actuarial qualification
  • Experience in insurance pricing, statistical techniques such as GLM, and machine learning
  • Coding experience e.g. SAS, SQL, R
  • Strong Excel and VBA skills
